Job description

The Medical Records Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate patient records using the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This position ensures the confidentiality, organization, and proper handling of sensitive patient information while coordinating with a small team and interacting regularly with healthcare providers. The coordinator supports internal audits to uphold compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize medical records using the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
  • Accurately enter and verify patient and document information
  • Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations
  • Generate reports and support regular internal audits of medical records
  • Coordinate communication between healthcare providers and team members
  • Support a small team of 1-5 members in records management tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications
