POSITION SUMMARY

This position will responsible for the direct supervision of the Medical Records Associates and their performance, work quality, reviews of Service Treatment Records (STRs) for separated and/or retired Total Force Members. Oversee the overall process for adhering to the contract requirements and guidelines. Ensure Team Members perform analysis on all components of the records. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Train, assist, motivate, and oversee Medical Records Associates as they perform processing tasks for preparing and scanning medical/dental records.
  2. Collaborate with manager to assign work.  Continuously delegate tasks or shift priorities to ensure a smooth workflow and meet production/quality goals.
  3. Function as subject matter expert and provide assistance in analyzing record contents, determining military member status and appropriate record disposition.
  4. Assist in contacting Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) for additional information. 
  5. Assist with various processing tasks as time allows.
  6. Perform additional quality oversight in all processing areas to ensure correct procedures have been followed and quality goals achieved.
  7. Monitor daily work quantity and quality progress and keep Management informed.
  8. Respond to inquiries from government personnel for information.
  9. Work with management to develop and/or enhance work processes.
  10. Maintain Team Member training records.
  11. Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  3. 1+ years of experience performing work using similar skills and knowledge as well as supervisory experience.
  4. Previous experience in records management and leading teams preferable.
  5. Military experience or experience working within the military environment helpful or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or military training
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  7. For positions that require driving, must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, and be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business.
