Job description

Aon is looking for an Associate Account Executive

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk, in Atlanta, GA.

Your Impact as an Associate Account Executive

Provide strategic support to Account Executives by managing the renewal process and delivering other strategic functions related to Delivering Aon United and Client Promise. Work with AEs on larger and/or more complex accounts. Eventually act as AE on own book of business (less complex accounts), up to $1M in revenue with 10% annual growth goal.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day, account management of assigned accounts under the direction of an AE.
  • Develop Client Promise / DAU Discovery preparation, and participates in Discovery process, as well as SAR and/or Aon United Client Promise Discovery Prep meeting.
  • Maintain ownership of renewal process, driving renewal strategy and overseeing preparation of client proposals.
  • Develop fee proposal and fee agreement and participate in fee negotiations.
  • Develop Aon IQ and begins to leverage the Aon network to deliver Aon United value to the client.
  • Develop client relationships.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of related insurance experience.
  • P&C license required within first 6 months of employment.
  • Basic understanding of Aon's resources and capabilities.
  • Emerging negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Desire to move into Account Executive Role within 2-4 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Growth: pipeline management (update Aon Connect leads, opportunities, activities, and client contacts) and assisting with opportunity Identification / pursuit by collecting available data from prospect/client for submission preparation; and if applicable, create TCOR workbook. Actively pursues new ideas with Aon client teams to provide alternative products and services to clients. Sequences work to achieve timely completion of the most critical and sensitive activities.
  • New Client Onboarding: deliver New Client Engagement Letter and Welcome Packet (as appropriate), send agreement to RMD, escalate bespoke terms to legal / LOL / modifications (if needed), and send agreement to client for signature.
  • Client Relationship: Develops and maintains an extensive understanding of client needs and expectations. Positions self as a strategic partner and colleague in relation to the business needs and issues of clients and prospects. Prepares initial draft of the Aon United internal discovery preparation and participates in Aon United Client Discovery.
  • Client Contract Management/Compensation: create Client Contract, engage Global Pricing Team to strategize pricing options, review and seek approval for Limitation of Liability, seek approval from RMD and Finance on any Installment requests, and draft Fee Proposal.
  • DAU / Client Promise: Complete Pricing Council Checklist, attach pricing council checklist and send to Aon Connect, complete Discovery Prep work (including selecting a company profile in Aon Connect, reviewing 10-K/10Q, risk factors, etc.), prepare for and schedule Discovery Meeting with Client, draft and update any follow-up post-meeting, handle management of contacts to receive CP/Client Satisfaction Survey, and manage leads and/or opportunities in Aon Connect.
  • Renewal Strategy Preparation/Meeting: Partner w/Account Specialist on internal Renewal Strategy Meeting(s) preparation, conduct Internal Renewal Strategy Meeting using appropriate checklists (see Internal Discussion Document in Tools), include goals and commitments established in Client Promise Plan (renewal strategy), compile all additional information (e.g. discovery, available financials, client organizational changes, industry performance, trends and forecasts) and draft the Renewal Strategy Plan. Present to the renewal team for review, lead client Renewal Strategy meeting, and confirm best deal criteria and finalize Renewal Strategy Plan, including individual team member and client responsibilities (agenda).
  • Marketing/Quoting: Obtain Client Acknowledgement & Binding Instructions from client.
  • Proposal: Obtain and update Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) information as appropriate (see Renewal Proposal Tools & Templates for forms), prepare proposal Financial Summary, write Executive Summary, compile proposal document with PAC team (ensuring that business terms are correct), do peer review of client deliverables, prepare client Authorization to Bind email (at direction of AE), and present proposal to clients.
  • Mid-Term Activities: Consolidate data for Due Diligence projects, provide project management for Aon Due Diligence team, prepare and execute Client Training, prepare draft and final client market presentations, perform Contract Reviews, conduct quarterly client meetings, and manage Open Items list.
