Job Title: Junior Account Executive

Department: Sales - DOD 

Reports To: VP Federal Sales

Location: Ashburn, VA (must live within driving distance)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

Clearance: None


Position Summary

As an outside sales representative, the Junior Account Executive is responsible for the business development and sales growth for their assigned accounts within their territory and for selling professional services, managed services, and technology products in the information technology space. The Junior Account Executive is responsible for providing RavenTek's clients and prospects with the highest possible quality in service to their accounts, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded by being in constant communication and providing outstanding customer service. 


The Junior Account Executive is responsible for identifying and executing RavenTek's full-stack solutions within specified accounts and will lead an innovative and creative approach to identifying customer needs and proposing solutions to exceed our clients' desired outcomes. The Junior Account Executive will also identify and execute the SensorOPS portfolio. The Junior Account Executive will work with management to develop account strategy, close contracts, and maintain excellent client relationships.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales objectives primarily through sales to new customers as well as through sales of additional services to existing customers.
  • Discover client business needs and propose appropriate products or services.
  • Manage territory, including account planning and opportunity management.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about RavenTek's products and services.
  • Properly forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for assigned territory within the RavenTek CRM system.
  • Work with key partners to drive associated product revenue.
  • Successfully negotiate client contracts.
  • Provide feedback from field experience to sales management with regard to product, selling, and competitive situations.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with associates and customers.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to client sites and corporate office as necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills

  • Excellent customer service to ensure assigned accounts meet or exceed client satisfaction through upselling.

  • Strong selling skills with existing and new clients regarding virtualization, cloud, security, and managed services sales.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion and presentation abilities.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and/or military experience.
  • 3-6 years of information technology sales experience working with DOW customers required.
  • Experience working with Air Force, COCOMS and DISA preferred.
  • Experience working within the technology infrastructure Value Added Reseller (VAR) space.
  • Knowledge and strong working relationship with at least one of RavenTek's strategic partners: Splunk, Riverbed, WIZ, Armis, ServiceNow, SensorOps, OKTA, Digital Harmonic, Censys, Dell, Cisco or similar partner certification preferred.
  • Strong network and consulting sales experience.

Work Environment 

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.


Physical Demands  

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
