POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing the performance of our operations teams to share results in a usable, timely and accurate format; formulating and improving operating best practices; and leveraging this expertise across all Haynes locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job description gives an overview of the overall essential functions, competencies, skills, and abilities for the Operations Analyst role. Other duties may be assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Business Intelligence Development/Report Automation in Sigma Computing
    • Coordinate scoping sessions for new dashboard developments
    • Develop dashboards and reports as requested in scoping sessions. Follow refinement/revision procedures as necessary
    • Assist with the maintenance of data sources to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Compile and analyze financial performance data for the operations team (agreements, projects, time, and material, estimate vs actual, forecasting, budgets, etc.)
  • Compile and analyze operational data (technician utilization, callback/warranty work, etc.).
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to operational leaders; identify and validate new KPIs as the business evolves
  • Conduct data analysis to establish performance baselines and develop/improve operational forecasting
  • Maximize use of existing analytical tools and make recommendations regarding additional tools, as needed
  • Participate in annual financial planning
  • Track and forecast operational expenditures
  • Maintain historical database by entering, verifying, and backing up data

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Management Science, or a related field; or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in Business Intelligence Tools (Sigma, Tableau or PowerBI)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy of data
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking
  • Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service focus, both internal and external

COMPENSATION:

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000/year + Full benefits
