Portfolio Operations Analyst
We are currently seeking candidates for a Portfolio Operations Analyst to join a leading financial services organization in Braintree, MA. This Portfolio Operations Analyst will support institutional investment operations with a focus on trade processing, client inquiries, fund pricing, and resolving transaction-related issues. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career candidate looking to build hands-on experience within investment operations, with potential for long-term conversion.
This is a 6+ month contract paying $28–$35/hour, depending on experience, with potential for extension or conversion to permanent employment.
The Portfolio Operations Analyst will work primarily from 11:00 AM–7:30 PM and follow a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days onsite per week. Candidates must be located in the Greater Boston area and willing to work four days per week onsite in Braintree, MA.
Responsibilities:
  • Process, review, and confirm investment trades while ensuring transactions are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Support end-of-day fund pricing and help ensure pricing information is released within required deadlines.
  • Research trade discrepancies, processing errors, and operational exceptions through resolution.
  • Respond to a high volume of client and internal inquiries through Outlook and other communication channels.
  • Assist with NAV, settlement, market value, and other day-to-day fund and investment operations activities.
  • Maintain accurate transaction information across Salesforce and proprietary investment systems.
  • Follow established trade guidelines, controls, and compliance procedures when processing activity.
  • The Investment Operations Analyst will coordinate with internal teams supporting trade processing, client servicing, compliance, and implementation.
Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of investment operations, financial services, fund operations, or related experience preferred; strong recent graduates with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
  • Basic understanding of trade processing and investment concepts such as NAV, settlement dates, market value, fund pricing, or transfer services.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and work through operational issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization, particularly when handling financial transactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience with Salesforce or similar systems is a plus.
  • Comfortable learning proprietary technology and using modern tools, including AI-based productivity tools.
  • The ideal Portfolio Operations Analyst will be dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven investment environment.
