Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is seeking a Sales Development Manager to drive high-velocity prospecting while coaching a sales development team to achieve pipeline goals. This role bridges sales leadership and SDRs, emphasizing outbound lead generation, new client acquisition, and solution alignment across targeted industry verticals. The ideal candidate brings experience in 3PL, freight forwarding, or supply chain sales, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to our core values. This position offers a competitive salary, performance incentive plan, and comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) with up to a 5% company match.

Job Details

What to expect as a Sales Development Manager:

  • Play a key role in the design, development, and launch of a new inside sales outreach team.
  • Formulate outreach cadences for 3PL, warehousing, and logistics services.
  • Build and develop new client relationships through cold outreach, analysis, and research.
  • Manage, qualify, and route inbound leads to the appropriate sales resources.
  • Monitor KPIs such as meetings booked and qualified leads in CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Establish, manage, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to ensure performance targets are met.
  • Cultivating partnerships with shippers and warehouse providers.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and report on sales goals, forecasting, and wins.
  • Understand complex industry terms, modes of transportation, and converse with Logistics Managers.
  • Drive pipeline growth through consistent, high-volume cold outreach across phone and other outbound channels.
  • Hire, train, and manage SDRs in outbound prospecting tactics and strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop GTM approach.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales development for Logistics, Supply Chain or 3PL, with prior leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience identifying, qualifying, and secure new accounts.
  • Strong communication, cold calling proficiency, and ability to handle high-velocity, high-rejection environments.
  • Energetic, relentless, and thriving on hunting for opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook; intermediate in Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM
