Job description

The ITAD Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving new business and expanding the market presence of Repowered's IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services. This role will focus on selling ITAD solutions, including data security, asset recovery, recycling, and refurbishment to enterprise clients, government agencies, and other key markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ITAD sales, deep knowledge of ITAD processes, and a strong ability to build long-term client relationships. This role is critical in accelerating revenue growth and expanding the company’s market share in ITAD services. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting 
    • Proactively identify potential clients through market research, cold outreach, and networking
    • Engage prospects via email, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings 
    • Use CRM tools to manage sales pipeline, track prospects, and report on sales activity
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers by acting as a trusted advisor on IT asset disposition strategies, compliance, and security
    • Understand client needs and develop tailored ITAD solutions that address their requirements for data security, environmental responsibility, asset recovery, and compliance
    • Lead contract negotiations, close deals efficiently, and guide clients through the onboarding process
    • Manage client expectations regarding timelines, services, and outcomes
  • Collaboration and Subject Matter Expertise 
    • Work closely with ITAD processing and logistics teams to ensure seamless implementation and service delivery for clients
    • Communicate with internal teams to identify upsell opportunities for value-added services such as data destruction, refurbishment, and e-waste recycling
    • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates to sales team and senior leadership
    • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and changes in ITAD regulations

 ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes, data security requirements, environmental regulations, and industry certifications (e.g., R2, e-Stewards, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST standards).
  • Sales Skills: Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to understand client pain points and offer tailored solutions. Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and negotiate large deals.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with IT hardware, data destruction methods, and asset recovery strategies. Ability to discuss technical aspects of ITAD with IT professionals.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and report on performance.
  • Client Focus: Demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ITAD solutions to executive-level clients.
