Purchasing Assistant
Store Support Center
We are searching for an experienced Purchasing Assistant for our StoreSupport Center located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040.
SUMMARY
A PurchasingAssistant supports the department and reports to a buyer. Thisis an onsite position at our Store Support Center in Commerce, CA.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Otherduties may be assigned or required:
  • Prepares purchase orders as needed.
  • Assists department with following purchasing procedures, as well as following up on their orders to ensure that deliveries are timely.
  • Assists and/or issues purchase order follow-up to ensure on-time deliveries and correct pricing, terms and specifications.
  • Updates sales log reports on a daily basis.
  • Updates and inputs cost retail prices on a daily basis.
  • Extensive follow-up with store directors and vendors on a daily basis.
  • Provides strong data entry support/receivers.
  • Responsible for meeting daily deadlines.
  • Schedules/sets up vendor appointments.
  • Provides general support to Buyers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires an associate degree and/or 2 years' experience ineither grocery retail or scan coordinator experience.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The actual starting pay will be determined by a number of qualifications, including, experience and relevant skills.
