Summary:
The Senior Buyer is responsible for negotiating contracts, obtaining consensus with supply users for standardization; analyzing proposals; project management; market analysis for Physician Enterprise. This position supports the medical practices with sourcing quality supplies and equipment at the best price and quality appropriate to the setting of services provided.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
  • Associates degree required, Purchasing/Materials Management field required
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Purchasing/Materials Management field strongly preferred
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) certification preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of three (3)- five (5) years Purchasing /Materials Management experience required, preferably within a healthcare system

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Solid work experience with Materials Management Software System
  • Demonstrated work experience in cost saving achievement initiatives
  • Strong Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office software application skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving capability
  • Strong project management and customer service skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Sitting extensively in meetings; sitting behind computer
