Position type: Exempt
The Senior Buyer supports the organization's procurement objectives by executing sourcing activities, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost effective and compliant purchasing decisions in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities Would Include:
  • Manage RFQs, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders for goods and services in a timely manner. Support procurement activities by applying knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Interpret and manage procurement-related documents, including Incoterms, supply agreements, price lists, catalogs, requisitions, vendor quotes, and invoices.
  • Lead competitive sourcing and tendering activities in alignment with internal stakeholders and category managers. Evaluate supplier proposals from commercial, pricing, and contractual perspectives to support sound business decisions.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions and finalize contracts in accordance with internal policies and governance standards. Manage and develop the supplier base, including onboarding, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Generate and maintain reports using SAP and Microsoft tools to support procurement analysis and decision-making. Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong customer service focus to support internal and external partners. Perform calculations related to payment terms, discounts, and pricing structures as needed.
  • Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems. Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Marketing) or at least 5 years of related experience in a related position.
  • 8-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferred.
    Strong commercial judgment, analytical skills, and a structured, process-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. Experience leading cross-functional projects is a plus. Technical, mechanical, or chemical aptitude is a plus
