Do you excel at navigating complex software agreements and driving strategic procurement decisions? As Manager, Software Procurement at Spectrum, you’ll lead enterprise-wide projects, collaborate with stakeholders and manage supplier relationships to deliver exceptional value. Your expertise in contract management and supplier selection will help reduce costs and optimize business outcomes, leaving a lasting impact across the organization.


How You’ll Make an Impact   

  • Analyze software cost models and present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations and manage large-scale software agreements alongside senior team members
  • Strategize with business and technical owners to clarify organizational needs
  • Guide cross functional teams to develop requirements for supplier responses
  • Research and identify reliable sources of supply for Spectrum’s software needs
  • Leverage supply market knowledge to drive supplier selection through formal processes like RFP, RFQ and RFI
  • Evaluate the financial stability of suppliers and perform business analysis focused on total cost of ownership
  • Recommend strategic purchasing decisions to executive management
  • Pursue cost savings opportunities and oversee supplier performance as an escalation point when necessary
  • Develop and communicate strategic category plans to align with business objectives
  • Manage change adoption and influence operational and technical improvements in procurement

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum   

Required Qualifications   

Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience   

  • 3+ years procurement contract negotiation and contract management experience
  • 1+ year electronic procurement or contract solutions experience

Skills   

  • Knowledge of software and related services including perpetual, term and subscription agreements, maintenance and support and other IT products
  • Strong understanding of software contract terms and conditions
  • Familiarity with software and IT terminology
  • Proven negotiating skills with adaptability
  • Ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Leadership skills to supervise and motivate others
  • Decision-making and problem-solving under pressure
  • Initiative and sound judgment to accomplish job duties

The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
