Job description

TITLE: Proposal Associate
Location: Ashburn, VA (open to remote or hybrid for strong Commercial or Data Center Estimating Exp)
POSITION SUMMMARY: The Proposal Associate, Preconstruction-Estimation is responsible for assisting the Sales Team amp; Operations/Project Managers with the development of proposal packages for customer deliverables and assure all aspects of the final proposal deliverable is ready for distribution by the sales rep. Interacts amp; communicates with internal resources such as Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, OTS/Controls, CX and operations teams to produce the overall delivery proposals. Has professional appearance and excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

โ€ข Assists sales personnel by obtaining the necessary data to assure the Preconstruction and estimation departments have what they need to compile the deliverable.

โ€ข Conducts weekly estimation deliverable meeting to assure all lines of business are aware of actions items to assure timely deliveries.

โ€ข Prepares Proposals for the following hierarchy business lines:

a. Data Center Implementation (DCI)

i. Design Build Projects

ii. Other Construction (Turnkey Projects)

iii. White Space Fit Out (TFO)

b. Service Operations (SO)

i. Battery Install

ii. Battery Maintenance

iii. Electrical Maintenance / Testing

iv. Facility Operations

v. HVAC Install

vi. HVAC Maintenance

vii. Monitoring

viii. OTS/Controls

ix. QA/QC and CX Services

โ€ข Prepares proposals and participates in presentations, as necessary, in conjunction with the PreCon Managers/Estimators.

โ€ข Works with the marketing team to ensure we have the necessary components within our proposal package.

โ€ข Assists on startup package for project handoffs upon award for Sales Rep.

โ€ข Reviews awarded projects with Operations/Project Manager.

โ€ข Is responsible for assisting in special projects.

โ€ข Advocates and enforces proper safety measures in all company operations.

โ€ข Travel

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience (Desired):

โ€ข Minimum 2-3 years of general construction, mechanical, electrical, low volatage or trade school experience.

โ€ข Knowledge of Project Management/Bidding software Procore

โ€ข Must have a stable work history

โ€ข Field experience is preferred but not required

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, engineering, or related degree.

โ€ข Experience in program/project management is a plus.

Knowledge/Computer Skills:

โ€ข Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

โ€ข Ability to communicate with Internal resources to determine their needs.

โ€ข Ability to forecast requirements, resources and projected timelines required to complete the deliverable.

โ€ข Basic accounting skills.

โ€ข Ability to work closely with management.

โ€ข Must have excellent verbal and written skills.

โ€ข Good reasoning and logic skills.

โ€ข Excellent time management skills.

โ€ข Comfortable and persistent with follow up and accountability.
