Position Overview

The Surgery Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating surgical procedures and ensuring a smooth experience for patients from consultation to surgery. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple scheduling priorities in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgical procedures with hospitals and surgery centers
  • Coordinate surgery dates, pre-operative appointments, and post-operative visits
  • Communicate surgery details and instructions clearly with patients
  • Obtain and verify insurance information when applicable
  • Coordinate with surgeons, clinical staff, and surgical facilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient scheduling records in EMR systems

Qualifications
