We are currently recruiting for a Surgery Scheduler at South Jersey Fertility

Location: Marlton, NJ

Hours: 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday

Surgical Scheduler -schedules patients for surgery, tests, referrals, medical/cardiac clearance, pre-op testing and review medications and health history as needed.

  • Posts/schedules all surgeries.  Completes appropriate paperwork, prepares surgical file, obtains insurance pre-authorization, and communicates information to patient.
  • Faxes appropriate paper to surgical facility.
  • Coordinates retrieval of all outside diagnostics needed prior to the pre-op visit.
  • Coordinate surgical venue and instruments prior to scheduled surgery.
  • Assists patients and/or families, referring physicians and third-party insurance companies to resolve any scheduling issues.
  • Schedules patients for laboratory and/or radiologic tests, pre-surgical testing, consent signing, and consultations as needed.
  • Relays information to patients regarding preparation for testing.
  • Prepare surgical packet that is mailed to patient with necessary information.
  • Obtains pre-authorization (certifications) as required by health insurance for surgery and/or admission.
  • Informs patients of any out-of-pocket costs when information is available. 
  • Scan appropriate paperwork into surgical section of patient’s EMR and correctly identify.
  • Answers telephone, triage calls, relays messages as necessary.
  • Maintains surgery calendar and schedules all appointment into appropriate provider’s schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay or shift range: $22 to $25
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
