Medical Receptionist/Scheduler

Over the years, Ophthalmology LTD's name has become associated with the highest quality of comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Ophthalmology LTD delivers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as cornea transplants, oculoplastic surgery, retina surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, and pediatric eye care in Sioux Falls. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Scheduler to support our busy ophthalmology practice. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient who walks through our doors. You will be the first point of contact for patients -responsible for scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, coordinating referrals, and supporting clinic flow. What You'll Do:
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring accuracy of demographic, insurance, and medical information
  • Schedule appointments for multiple providers, including specialty and follow-up visits.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed.
  • Coordinate referrals with outside clinics and providers.
  • Answer patient calls, messages, and scheduling requests with professionalism and empathy.
  • Support clinic workflow by communicating effectively with technicians, nurses, and physicians.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.
What You Bring:

Schedule & Work Environment
