Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and provide an outstanding first impression.
  • Answer and manage multiple incoming phone lines.
  • Schedule new and established patient appointments.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate records.
  • Scan and organize medical documentation.
  • Update patient demographics and required forms.
  • Process patient payments.
  • Assist with general administrative and clerical duties.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Support providers and office staff to ensure efficient daily operations.

Requirements:

Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of medical receptionist experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an outpatient psychiatric or behavioral health practice.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs).
