Description: We are seeking a highly organized Patient Appointment Scheduler with a strong commitment to patient care. The Patient Appointment Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and ensures accurate scheduling based on provider availability and patient needs. The Patient Appointment Scheduler also verifies insurance information, processes referrals, and works collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to support a smooth patient experience.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Patient Appointment Scheduler to join our team and support our mission.

Essential Duties: โ€ข Greet patients and schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering physician availability and patient preferences โ€ข Handle inbound calls and inquiries from patients regarding appointments and general inquiries with professionalism and empathy โ€ข Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all necessary information is collected and updated in the system โ€ข Protect patientsโ€™ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information โ€ข Verify patient insurance coverage and communicate any relevant information to patientsโ€™ chart โ€ข Work closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts effectively โ€ข Process referrals as ordered by providers, including obtaining necessary authorizations and ensuring timely follow-up. โ€ข Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary โ€ข Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes โ€ข Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management โ€ข Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate with standard office noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to sounds such as ringing phones, office equipment, and conversations among colleagues.
