Summary/Objective:  The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for Samtec's U.S. locations.    

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-cycle recruitment for engineering and technical manufacturing positions, including but not limited to Product, Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Optics, Controls, Manufacturing, and Tooling Engineering roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to conduct intake and recruiting strategy meetings to understand technical requirements, business needs, desired candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, attract, and engage passive engineering talent through networking, referrals, social media, industry events, professional organizations, and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for anticipated hiring needs, succession planning efforts, growth initiatives, and upcoming retirements.
  • Conduct phone screens and preliminary interviews to assess technical experience, qualifications, cultural fit, and career interests.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Provide hiring managers with candidate evaluations, interview feedback summaries, market intelligence, and recruiting recommendations.
  • Manage candidate activity and maintain accurate recruiting data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring process compliance and data integrity.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, OFCCP, and all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate recruiting processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, enhance candidate experience, and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Support additional recruiting initiatives and projects based on business needs and organizational priorities.

Required Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of recruiting experience with a strong emphasis on engineering, technical, or manufacturing recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting for highly skilled technical positions and navigating competitive talent markets.
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills with demonstrated success identifying passive candidates.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Jobvite preferred). Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.

Education:

  • Bachelors of Science in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent experience.
