Responsibilities
Professionals in project planning and control are responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
*This position is 100% on-site at the customer site in San Diego.
Noblis is currently seeking a Project Planner to utilize their expertise in project management methodologies, scheduling techniques, and risk management to drive project success and achieve organizational objectives.
The Project Planner role involves:
- Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and identifying resource requirements and constraints.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress, performance, and expenditures against baseline plans, and identifying and addressing deviations and risks to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and communicating project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and clients.
- Planning, executing, and controlling projects, mitigating risks, and achieving project success.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree + 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma + 6 years of experience.
  • 1-2 years of that experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordination, with a focus on ensuring project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications like Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, resource allocation, and project scope management. An understanding of hardware assembly is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with highly effective time and project management abilities.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance (active clearance preferred).
  • US citizenship.

Desired Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • 4+ years (total) of recent experience in project planning, scheduling, and execution, with a proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams, developing project deliverables, and timelines
  • Ability to track project progress to ensure on-time delivery and project success.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
