RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Palm Beach Gardens, FL that is seeking a Project Management Consultant.
Summary:
The Project Management Consultant will support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure and grid related projects, including transmission, substation, and compliance driven initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with an electrical engineering background or equivalent industry experience who are early career to mid level and looking to grow within large scale utility or energy programs. The Project Management Consultant will work closely with engineering, operations, vendors, and compliance stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with regulatory and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Support project execution across electrical, transmission, substation, or grid compliance programs
* Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, and action tracking using MS Project and/or Smartsheet
* Coordinate with engineering, operations, vendors, and compliance stakeholders
* Track risks, issues, costs, and deliverables; support change management
* Prepare status reports, meeting notes, and project documentation
* Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Electrical Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent power/utility experience)
* 0-5+ years of experience in project management, engineering support, or utility/energy projects
* Experience or exposure to Grid compliance or regulated utility programs and or Transmission lines, substations, or power infrastructure
* Familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office
* Strong organization, communication, and coordination skills
Preferred:
* Utility or NERC related project exposure
* Field experience with substations or transmission assets
* Consulting or contract based project experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
