Global Power Products (GPP) designs and manufactures reliable, UL-certified power products, including GenerLinkยฎ transfer switches and NE Meterยฎ advanced metering systems. Our solutions are trusted by utilities, contractors, and end users for their quality, safety, and long-term performance.

As we continue to expand our portfolio of power transfer, protection, and metering solutions, we are seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in bringing new power products from concept through commercialization.

Role Overview (Part-Time Project Manager)

The NPD Project Manager will be responsible for driving execution of new product development initiatives across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and regulatory teams. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with product requirements, certification standards, and manufacturing readiness.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects from concept approval through production launch, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain streamlined project plans, key milestones, and high-level risk tracking appropriate for a part-time engagement.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure clear communication and alignment across functions.
  • Facilitate project status updates, drive accountability, and escalate issues as needed to maintain progress.
  • Identify risks early and support mitigation planning to keep projects moving forward efficiently.
New Product Development (~20%)
  • Support new product development efforts from early concept through design verification, validation, certification, and launch.
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to ensure requirements, compliance standards, and production readiness are met.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience managing projects in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Familiarity with UL/CSA/ANSI standards and certification processes (preferred).

  • Experience using project tracking tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar.
