Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Provide day-to-day construction management support

  • Develop spreadsheets, folder structures, and other project coordination tools

  • Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, meeting minutes, drawings, change orders, and correspondence

  • Set up and administer project documentation systems using tools such as SharePoint, Procore, Aconex, or similar platforms

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting

  • Organize and attend project meetings, prepare agendas, document and distribute minutes, and track action items

  • Review invoices for accuracy, submit for internal processing, and track payments

  • Support issue resolution and risk mitigation

  • Perform miscellaneous tasks to ensure projects run smoothly

  • Build effective working relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

YOU HAVE:

  • 2- or 4-year degree in construction, business management, office administration, accounting, or a related field

  • Experience setting up and administering construction management software (e.g., MS Project/Planner, Procore, Aconex) across multiple projects

  • CAPM or PMP certification

  • CM-Lean certification and/or experience in lean construction management methods and the Last Planner System

  • Experience maintaining project schedules in MS Project or Planner

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or project management

  • Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and document control

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills

  • Ability to learn and utilize construction management software

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to handle detailed information, multitask, and meet deadlines

  • Active listening skills and openness to diverse input and feedback

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
