Supervisory Responsibilities: Level Dependent

Purpose: The Project Manager is responsible to oversee the successful planning and execution of assigned Product Development projects. The Project Manager ensures scope, budget, and schedule commitments are met. Project Managers maintain management methods and practices that are aligned with TEAM's objectives to maximize profits and resource efficiencies.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
  • Compiles necessary information to create initial project plan and charter, including tooling and component estimates, resource requirements, project deliverables, and estimated timeline.
  • Maintains Project Charter and Project Site content, which includes budget, schedule, and development BOM.
  • Organizes, assigns and assists in workflow to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Facilitates project team meetings and ensures all functional areas of TEAM are informed and represented.
  • Schedules development jobs and monitors their progress through the system; includes the making/procurement of prototype components, assembly of development units, final packaging, and shipping.
  • Coordinates Requests For Quote with Supply Chain and issues purchase orders for prototype parts and necessary capital expenditures in accordance to the project schedule.
  • Works with Operations to facilitate a smooth introduction of new products to the production floor.
  • Maintains good organization and documentation and ensures that proper procedures are followed.
  • Communicates the project's overall health to all affected functional areas within TEAM in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Level Specific Responsibilities:

Project Manager I: Transforms sound organization and project management principles into achievable plans utilizing knowledge gained through education and guidance from mentors. May assist in tasks related to a larger overall project or be asked to lead a project of the appropriate complexity. Follows the project plan closely and communicates progress to stakeholders. Works closely with mentors and experienced staff.

Project Manager II: Adheres to a project plan for moderately complex projects. Seeks and accepts guidance from mentors to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Works closely with the project team and stakeholders to convey tasks and progress updates. Able to handle moderately complex issues and problems and reacts quickly to challenges. Actively maintains the project site content for assigned Development Projects. May provide mentorship to less experienced PM's, engineers and design personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 2 year technical degree required-Engineering related degree preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Project Manager I: 0 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Project Manager II: 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in use of computers (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project etc.)
  • Must possess good organizational and communication skills
  • Mechanical/Technical skills and background a plus
  • PMI Training a plus

Training:

  • Reference OJT

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
