Job description

Position Title: Sound Insulation Project Manager
The Sound Insulation Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing specialized projects focused on residential rehabilitation and sound insulation. This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in managing production-sized projects, particularly in multifamily renovations. The individual will work closely with design teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects while maintaining quality control standards. The role presents an opportunity to contribute significantly to ongoing projects in the Los Angeles area, particularly around LAX. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to engage in hands-on management while fostering strong client relationships.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field visits to residences to prepare drawings in Revit, overseeing production of floor plans that detail as-built conditions
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural subconsultants
  • Oversee and perform quality assurance and quality control of drawings
  • Ensure construction documents meet client requirements, regulatory codes, and quality control standards
  • Understand project scope, policies, code compliance, and internal budgets while producing quality work
  • Incorporate firm-wide quality and design standards into the work
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team members
  • Stay updated on new developments with Revit and construction document production for project efficiencies
  • Gather necessary background information from the field and other sources in a timely manner
  • Oversee and manage field surveys to ensure comprehensive information is collected for projects
  • Utilize Revit to prepare project documents
  • Manage preparation and coordination of contract documents
  • Facilitate team meetings and manage design schedules
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including property owners
  • Conduct quality control reviews

Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in sound insulation and residential rehabilitation projects
  • 5+ years of experience in design for residential rehab/sound insulation work
  • Revit experience is required
  • Management experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily rehab renovation is preferred
  • BA Degree is preferred
