CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a dynamic nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities and combating poverty. We are seeking an Outreach Intake Specialist to join our Energy Services Department and play a pivotal role in connecting Cook County residents to essential energy assistance programs.


What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Conduct Intake Activities: Perform on-site and/or remote Energy Services Program application intake throughout Cook County, ensuring accurate data collection and customer education.
  • Customer Support: Provide information and resources to ensure a positive experience and efficient intake process via in-person, phone, or electronic communications.
  • Data Management: Collect and document customer information in relevant databases with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Needs Assessment: Utilize active listening and probing techniques to identify customer needs and ensure access to all eligible programs.
  • Community Outreach: Attend and coordinate local events, develop materials and signage, and build partnerships with community organizations to enhance program awareness.
  • Travel Requirements: Adhere to a rotating schedule for intake needs across Cook County, including potential evenings and weekends.
