Job description

DIRECTOR OF CLIENT DEVELOPMENT & PRACTICE GROWTH

Remote | Flexible Schedule | Commission-Based | Uncapped Earnings

25% of Permanent Placement Revenue | 20% of Contract Gross Profit | Bonus Potential

BUILD YOUR OWN BOOK OF BUSINESS—WITH AN ESTABLISHED RECRUITING TEAM BEHIND YOU

Talent Solutions Group is a Chicago-based national staffing and recruiting firm with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations hire difficult-to-find professional talent.

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Director of Client Development & Practice Growth to develop new client relationships and build a meaningful book of staffing business.

This is not a traditional salaried sales position. It is a commission-based opportunity designed for an established business-development professional who wants flexibility, ownership, recurring income and uncapped earning potential.

You will focus on opening doors, developing relationships and creating new business. TSG will provide recruiting leadership, candidate sourcing, technology, operational support and delivery resources to help execute the searches and staffing opportunities you generate.

COMPENSATION

• Permanent placements: Earn 25% of the placement revenue collected from clients you originate and manage.

• Contract staffing: Earn 20% of the gross profit collected from contractors placed with clients you originate and manage.

• Recurring income: Contract commissions continue throughout active assignments, subject to the terms of TSG’s commission plan.

• Bonus potential: Additional quarterly and annual bonuses may be earned based on new-client development, collected revenue, account growth and overall performance.

• Uncapped earnings: There is no ceiling on the income or book of business you can build.

EARNING EXAMPLES

• A $25,000 permanent placement fee generates a $6,250 commission.

• Four permanent placements at an average $25,000 fee generate $25,000 in commissions.

• A contractor generating $30,000 in annual gross profit generates $6,000 in contract commissions.

• Five similar contractors generate approximately $30,000 in annual contract commissions—before permanent-placement commissions and potential bonuses.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Identify and develop new staffing and recruiting clients.

• Build relationships with executives, hiring managers, HR leaders, talent-acquisition professionals and other decision-makers.

• Reconnect with former clients and leverage your professional network to generate opportunities.

• Manage the complete business-development cycle, from initial outreach through signed agreement and active search.

• Identify permanent-placement, contract-staffing and project-based opportunities.

• Partner closely with TSG’s recruiting leaders to launch searches and deliver qualified candidates.

• Maintain visibility into client needs, candidate activity, interviews and open opportunities.

• Expand client relationships into additional departments, locations and service lines.

• Develop a strategic growth plan for your chosen industry, specialty or geographic market.

• Represent TSG through networking, referrals, industry involvement and LinkedIn thought leadership.

• Help shape the future of the practice and potentially build and lead a sales team as revenue grows.

WHAT TSG PROVIDES

• A respected national recruiting brand with more than 20 years in business.

• Experienced recruiting leadership and candidate-delivery support.

• A productive offshore sourcing team.

• Recruiting technology, candidate research and operational resources.

• Permanent-placement and contract-staffing capabilities.

• Established experience supporting major companies and complex hiring needs.

• Flexible, remote working arrangements.

• Direct access to company leadership and fast decision-making.

• Protection and ongoing commission potential for the accounts you originate and actively manage, subject to the commission plan.

• The opportunity to build a specialized market practice—not simply fill a sales position.

TSG’S CORE MARKETS

• Capital Markets and Financial Institutions

• Construction, Real Estate and Engineering

• Corporate Operations

• Digital Media and Marketing

We are also open to experienced professionals who can establish a credible practice in another high-value professional market.

WHO WILL SUCCEED

This opportunity is best suited for someone who:

• Has successful staffing, recruiting, professional-services or consultative B2B sales experience.

• Has an established professional network or a demonstrated ability to generate business independently.

• Understands staffing economics, client development and long-term account growth.

• Is comfortable being a hands-on individual producer.

• Can establish credibility with senior decision-makers.

• Is persistent, responsive and disciplined with follow-up.

• Wants autonomy, flexibility and compensation directly tied to results.

• Values recurring contract income as well as permanent-placement revenue.

• Is interested in building a practice and potentially leading others over time.

Candidates with an existing book of relationships, former staffing-industry leaders, independent recruiters, fractional business-development professionals and experienced executives with strong industry networks are encouraged to apply.

IMPORTANT

This is a commission-based opportunity without a guaranteed base salary. It is designed for an experienced, self-directed professional who is comfortable building business and wants meaningful long-term upside.

To be considered, please submit your résumé and a short description of the markets, relationships or industries you would be positioned to develop.
