Job Title: Account Director

Reports to: VP of Sales

Position Status: Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Account Director manages a portfolio of accounts and is responsible for building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet clients' needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.

As an Account Director you will need to identify new opportunities within existing accounts, to aid in increasing revenue. Ensure a deep enough understanding of clients' individual experiences to head off potential issues before they become problems. You will cultivate relationships with your clients, following their accounts to ensure they are satisfied with the level of products and services provided by the company.

An Account Director is required to have the capability to establish and build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, which is vital to the successful execution of duties in this role. The Account Director has a can-do personality, is disciplined in his work habits, and possesses strong attention to detail.

The role of the Account Director involves account management, delivery development, building on sustainable relationships by playing an active role in all aspects of the business to generate the desired outcomes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure best practice is taken with customer onboarding and potential growth opportunities are discovered.
  • Support resolving any AR late payments with existing clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity and adjust plans accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Build strong client relationships to maintain old business and growing the account.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
  • Keeping track of all required due dates and follow-up internally to ensure the projects stay on track.
  • Work closely with the engineering department on fixtures development.
  • Act as the client’s representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.
  • Lead prototype meetings and touch-base calls with clients on a weekly basis.
  • Manage and coach Customer Service Representatives.
  • Visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship- building opportunities.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals to clients.
  • Collect and submit necessary information for RFPs received from clients from the internal team.
  • Any reasonable additional duties as requested or delegated by your manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has supervisory responsibilities over Account Manager who are assigned to their team. . Account Directors will manage the workload assigned to the designated Account Manager that is assigned to their accounts.
