Job description

The Account Director is HD's strategic leader and standard bearer on client accounts, serving as trusted advisor to senior Clients-and as an inspirational leader internal teams count on for support, guidance and counsel. This particular role has a focus on digital ecosystems including, but not limited to, enterprise websites and digital marketing platforms.
The Account Director is expected to lead HD's work across approximately 3-4 Clients, with roughly 20% of time contributing to new business and internal projects as well.
Responsibilities:
  • Setting direction and strategy on the Clients they lead, partnering with other subject matter experts where appropriate
  • Building trusted partnerships with their Clients
  • Direct cross-functional integrated teams
  • Accountable for standard bearing: both team performance and the quality of the work
  • Accountable for the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to ensure client and HD business goals are achieved
  • Maintain open communication of client issues with practice leaders and agency management
  • Personal responsibility for inspiring teams to do the best work of their careers

Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in increasingly senior roles in an advertising agency or similar business, with a track record of leading idea-driven, integrated campaigns that positively impact clients' businesses
  • Deep experience leading digital and interactive experiences from strategy through launch.
  • "Driver" and self starter personality who's naturally curious and wired for continuous improvement.
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple client accounts
  • Track record of successfully managing integrated programs inclusive of multiple partners
  • Demonstrable effectiveness coaching and developing more junior team members
  • Digitally savvy with demonstrable experience across channels
  • Strong communication skills: written, oral and presentation
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, journalism or similar field
