Job Summary:

Responsible for providing leadership to the Direct Client Development team. Motivate and encourage client development team members to ensure targets are met. Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports. Partner with the leadership team to create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our client base. Recruit sales team members, set objectives, train and coach them and monitor their performance.

Essential Job Functions for this role include:

  • Partner with Client Development Leadership to design and execute strategies that drive new client growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), including onboarding and training, to drive strong performance, accountability, and long‑term growth while reinforcing sales management best practices.
  • Establish clear individual and team goals aligned with departmental objectives and drive consistent execution.
  • Improve RVP productivity by sponsoring and leading initiatives related to sales process optimization, marketing materials, technology, and training.
  • Demonstrate high energy and influence to motivate teams and drive sustained goal achievement.
  • Ensure adherence to company performance standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining high client service and satisfaction standards.
  • Bring a strong growth mindset with the ability to think strategically, leverage data, take ownership, and consistently exceed expectations.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance related)
  • 5+ years financial services industry experience at a minimum; high-volume sales, relationship management, or client service experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales team management strongly preferred.
  • CFP or CFA preferred but if not, Series 65 is required or the ability to obtain quickly.
  • Experience with Digital Marketing Intelligence tools is a huge PLUS.
  • Ability Influence and motivate.
  • Ability to provide effective performance coaching and feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Client service background preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency with Salesforce
  • Experience working with high-level, busy professionals.
  • Enjoy leading and being part of a team.
  • Must be highly flexible and confidential with all matters.

Work Schedule:

This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs.

All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

Working Conditions:

This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors' incentive compensation programs.

$170,000—$200,000 USD
