Job description

Description:

Menemsha is a national design-build firm providing architecture, survey, preconstruction, and construction services. We partner with clients on commercial construction projects, renovations, multi-location programs, and national rollouts across the retail, restaurant, grocery, convenience, banking, healthcare, office, and entertainment sectors.

The ideal candidate will help Menemsha build relationships with organizations that value an experienced, integrated partner capable of supporting projects from initial site evaluation and design through construction and completion.

Menemsha is seeking a persistent, resourceful, and highly motivated Client Development Associate to generate qualified opportunities and secure meetings with decisionmakers at target companies.

This individual will support our Business Development team by identifying prospective clients, researching upcoming projects, mapping key decisionmakers, and conducting consistent outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other channels. The successful candidate will understand the commercial construction and design-build industry, communicate Menemsha’s capabilities effectively, and be relentless in finding the right path into an organization.

This is not a passive lead-generation position. It requires someone who is comfortable making calls, navigating large organizations, overcoming objections, following up consistently, and finding creative ways to reach difficult-to-access decisionmakers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective clients that align with Menemsha’s target markets, project sizes, and geographic capabilities.
  • Identify companies planning new construction, renovations, expansions, remodel programs, and multi-location rollouts.
  • Build relationships with key decisionmakers, including executives and leaders in construction, development, real estate, facilities, procurement, and design.
  • Generate qualified meetings and introductions for Menemsha’s Business Development team.
  • Execute consistent outbound outreach through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, industry associations, and networking events.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Menemsha’s construction, architecture, survey, preconstruction, and design-build capabilities.
  • Clearly communicate Menemsha’s value proposition and relevant project experience.
  • Research target organizations to understand their structure, current relationships, construction programs, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Develop multiple points of contact within each target account rather than relying on a single relationship.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up with prospects over extended sales cycles.
  • Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Preconstruction, and Operations to develop account-specific outreach strategies.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity, meeting, and opportunity information in the company CRM.
  • Track outreach activity, meeting conversion rates, qualified opportunities, and progress within strategic accounts.
  • Attend selected conferences, trade shows, and networking events to identify prospects and create introductions.
  • Independently create, launch, and manage targeted prospecting campaigns in HubSpot, including building contact lists, segmenting audiences, developing outreach sequences, enrolling prospects, and monitoring engagement.
  • Use HubSpot to manage prospecting activity, automate follow-up, track campaign performance, and adjust outreach strategies based on response and conversion data.
  • Maintain accurate and complete company, contact, activity, meeting, and opportunity records in HubSpot
Requirements:

 Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or strategic account prospecting.
  • Experience in commercial construction, architecture, engineering, real estate development, facilities, or another related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the commercial construction process and how owners select architects, general contractors, and design-build partners.
  • Demonstrated success reaching senior-level decisionmakers and scheduling qualified business meetings.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to uncover projects, organizational relationships, and decision-making structures.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and persistent, professional follow-up.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to understand and communicate technical capabilities without overstating qualifications or making unsupported commitments.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, construction databases, and other prospecting tools is preferred.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, accountable, and motivated by measurable results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HubSpot, including contact and company management, list building, segmentation, email campaigns, sales sequences, task automation, reporting, and campaign-performance tracking.
  • Ability to independently develop and execute outbound prospecting campaigns from initial research and messaging through follow-up, reporting, and optimization.

Measures of Success

Success in this position will be measured by:

  • Qualified meetings secured with target decision-makers.
  • New prospective clients added to the pipeline.
  • Target accounts successfully penetrated.
  • Decision-makers and influencers identified within each account.
  • Opportunities generated and advanced to the Business Development team.
  • Quality and accuracy of CRM activity and account information.
  • Consistency of outreach, follow-up, and pipeline development.
  • Effectiveness of independently developed HubSpot campaigns, including engagement, response, meeting-conversion, and qualified-opportunity rates.
  • Accuracy, organization, and completeness of HubSpot data, campaign tracking, and prospecting activity.
