Job Summary:
Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Workday Integration Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations within their global Workday HCM ecosystem. The role involves ensuring reliable and scalable integrations, collaborating with various stakeholders, and maintaining technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Workday integrations using:
โ€ข Own end-to-end delivery of integrations, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
โ€ข Works independently to maintain and monitor existing integrations to ensure they are functioning as expected, proactively identifying and resolving errors, failures, and performance issues.
โ€ข Performs complex root cause analysis to resolve failed integrations, working TPOs. Business Owners, 3rd party vendors IT and with Application Managed Service (AMS).
โ€ข Perform integration updates, enhancements, and modifications as business requirements evolve.
โ€ข Troubleshoot integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business disruption.
โ€ข Collaborate with HR, IT, Data Warehouse, Data and AI and external vendors to gather and translate business requirements into technical integration specifications.
โ€ข Responsible for support of payroll-related integrations, including Cloud Connect and other third-party payroll interfaces, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
โ€ข Maintain technical documentation including integration design documents, mapping specifications, and support procedures.
โ€ข Participate in Workday biannual releases, performing impact analysis, regression testing, and necessary integration updates.
โ€ข Ensure all integrations comply with security, confidentiality, and data governance standards consistent with firm policies.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข A minimum of five years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations.
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of Workday integration tools such as: Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, Workday Studio, Workday Orchestrate, CCTPP, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)
โ€ข Experience developing integrations with downstream HR, Payroll, Financial, and third-party applications.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and updating integrations to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and optimal system performance.
โ€ข Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and data transformation methodologies.
โ€ข Understanding of secure file transfer protocols (SFTP) and data encryption standards.
โ€ข Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
โ€ข Experience working in Agile or structured project delivery environments.

โ€ข Experience supporting PeopleSoft to Workday transitions, including data mapping, transformation, and ongoing integration between systems.
โ€ข Experience supporting Workday integrations related to modules including Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, and Talent.
โ€ข Understanding of middleware applications and integration frameworks.
