Workday Integration Developer (Payroll) - San Antonio, TX (Onsite)
About the Role
Join a fast-paced team as a senior-level Workday Integration Developer, specializing in Payroll integrations. Located onsite in San Antonio, TX, you will architect and deliver seamless connections between Workday HCM/Payroll and external vendors, applying your expertise in Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about building high-impact technical solutions within an Agile environment, with opportunities to expand your integration and payroll domain knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Workday integrations that securely connect Core HCM and Payroll modules to third-party payroll providers and banking institutions.
- Build complex, custom solutions using Workday Studio to accommodate unique banking and payroll requirements.
- Configure and maintain Core Connector: Payroll Interface (CCPI) and modern PECI frameworks, leveraging Payroll Effective Change Engine for retroactive payroll adjustments.
- Create and support high-volume EIBs for data loads such as payroll results, tax documents, and general ledger entries.
- Develop advanced XSLT within Document Transformations to ensure accurate data formatting for external vendor schemas.
- Construct sophisticated Custom Reports and Calculated Fields to manage payroll, deduction, and tax-related data.
- Collaborate in daily Agile stand-ups and deliver technical assets aligned with sprint objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on Workday integration experience focusing on Payroll, Payroll Interface, or Global Payroll.
- Proven expertise in building custom Studio integrations with advanced error handling and multi-API routing.
- In-depth knowledge of CCPI, PECI, and both inbound and outbound EIB architectures.
- Proficiency in XSLT 2.0/3.0 and XML data manipulation.
- Mastery of Custom Reporting, Calculated Fields, and secure Integration Security User setup (ISU/ISSG).
- Demonstrated success delivering technical solutions within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Must be local to San Antonio, TX or willing to work onsite.

- Familiarity with payroll data logic and banking formats.
