Job description

Job Title: Landscape Laborer

Location: Harrison, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are hiring a dependable Landscape Laborer to join our team for projects in Harrison, OH, and surrounding areas. You will work alongside our landscape foreman and crew, assisting with softscape planting, hardscape builds, site preparation, and routine property maintenance on both residential and commercial job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Landscape Installation: Assist with planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as laying sod, spreading mulch, topsoil, and gravel.
  • Hardscape & Construction Support: Help build retaining walls, pavers, patios, and drainage systems under foreman direction.
  • Site Preparation & Cleanup: Dig trenches, grade soil, clear debris, and maintain clean, safe job sites throughout the workday.
  • Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely use hand tools (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows) and power equipment (weed trimmers, blowers, mowers).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, load, and unload tools, machinery, and materials at the start and end of each shift.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Prior experience in landscaping, lawn care, or outdoor construction is preferred, but motivated workers willing to learn are welcome to apply.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs continuously, bend, kneel, and work productively outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to get to job sites or the shop daily (no company vehicle provided).

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)
