Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations, supporting accounting functions, and assisting with HR-related processes. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage and reconcile employee time and attendance records to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Process payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and wage adjustments
  • Handle union payroll processing, including union dues, benefits contributions, and compliance reporting
  • Perform basic accounting and bookkeeping functions, including reconciliations and payroll-related journal entries
  • Support accounts payable/accounts receivable as needed
  • Assist with payroll reporting and maintain accurate employee payroll records
  • Provide support with HR-related functions, including onboarding, employee updates, benefits administration, and payroll inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems
  • Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge required
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/accounting software
