Position Overview: eGastroMD is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position based in New York, NY, USA. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.

This individual will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments. Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for all employees, including calculating hours, wages, taxes, and deductions Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages Maintain and update payroll records and employee information Respond to employee inquiries and resolve any payroll-related issues Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in payroll processing Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software; experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Why Work for eGastroMD?
