Job Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit bi-weekly or monthly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Analyze payroll data and resolve discrepancies related to earnings, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain employee records related to compensation, benefits, and tax information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors regarding payroll changes or issues.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits with payroll-related documentation.
  • Identify process improvements and support payroll system upgrades or changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in payroll processing and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, FICA, W-2, 1099).
  • Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, or UKG.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
