Position Overview:

The Learning Operations Specialist supports the Learning & Development team in delivering high-impact training experiences and driving effective knowledge transfer across the manufacturing organization. This role ensures operational excellence in training coordination, documentation, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, experienced with learning systems and data reporting, and is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Training Development & Execution

  • Partner with L&D Supervisor to develop and maintain curriculum to support the continued development of employees, including learning modules, programs, and paths.
  • Partner with the L&D Supervisor to review facility training needs and support the rollout of training. Lead assigned training projects from design through delivery.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and development events to ensure smooth execution and high engagement.

Content Creation & Resource Management

  • Use best practices for learning management system administration, including content upload, course enrollments, and LMS troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate training records, completion data, and reporting for compliance and operational visibility. Communicate trends in data to support team initiatives and training priorities.
  • Develop e-learning content, SOPs, and other training materials using Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, and the Microsoft Suite.
  • Oversee document submission for the Training team, ensuring all documents meet formatting standards in collaboration with the Compliance team for Document Control.

Skills Matrix & Competency Analysis

  • Assign and manage learning paths in learning management system for job changes, cross-training, and upskilling initiatives. Partner with technical training specialists to evaluate learning paths regularly for accuracy.
  • Identify training gaps and communicate insights to support workforce development and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Learning Systems & Analytics Coordinator to review performance data from the skills matrix for accuracy and continuous improvement opportunities.

Training Coordination & Communication

  • Build strong working relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) to capture knowledge, validate training content, and translate operational processes into effective learning materials. Ensure training materials are clear, accessible, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with Training team and external teams to provide training updates and appropriately escalate training concerns to L&D Supervisor.
  • Support the coordination of training initiatives by organizing tasks, timelines, and materials to ensure learning activities are executed smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in training coordination, learning operations, or HR support
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with skills matrices, competency models, and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset

Hours, Location and Pay:

We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works Monday - Friday 8:00 am- 4:30 pm at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility.

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
