Job description

As part of the Talent & Culture team, the Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing and executing experiences enabling our learning strategy to shape the culture and connect to the enterprise business strategy at Oshkosh Corporation across the globe and all segments. This role will partner closely with business leaders, segment HR teams, and the Talent & Culture leadership team to understand the learning and development needs across the business and design and implement solutions that will help develop the workforce of the future. While keeping the needs of the team member at the center, and leveraging world class technology, this individual will support efforts to develop learning experiences connected to the business strategy.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with business and HR leaders across the segments to ensure learning initiatives are aligned with business objectives and segment/functional requirements.

  • Research new trends and approaches in the learning industry and serves as a champion for a learning culture in the organization.

  • Leveraging our best-in-class people technology and strategic learning partnerships, develop and maintain learning journeys and experiences for team members across the organization to enable the growth of our team members' careers.

  • Evaluates the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics and uses data to make the case for additional investments.

  • Delivers learning & development initiatives including facilitation, webinars, roundtables, etc.

  • Continuously experiment and leverage trending technologies to create engaging and effective team member learning experiences.

  • Partner with leaders and segment HR teams to promote learning opportunities and improve team member engagement.

  • Drive enhancements to learning and development tools and content to ensure alignment with Oshkosh learning standards and core values.

  • Support all initiatives intended to support, develop, coach, and accelerate the growth of the organization's leadership and culture.

  • Manages assigned projects using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget, and administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a learning and development and/or instructional design role.

  • Ability to travel as required (<10%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a complex, global, multi-site organization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Previous experience with Workday preferred.

  • Adult education certification completed or in progress.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Physical Demands: Frequent Sitting, Typing; Seldom Walking/Running, Reaching, Driving, Bending/Kneeling, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Manual Dexterity, and Lifting/Carrying and Pushing/Pulling up to 40lbs.

  • Work Schedule: Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.

  • Demands/Deadlines: Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload because of intermittent or cyclical work pressures, or occasional exposure to distressed individuals within the immediate work environment.

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
