Job Description
The Talent Learning and Development Director will be responsible for designing, delivering, and measuring best-in-class leadership development and learning solutions across Eurofins Environment Testing (USA).
This role is primarily focused on building organizational leadership capability by implementing existing programs and workshops while also creating new, scalable learning initiatives aligned with business needs.
Training initiatives will cover a broad range of topics and will be developed and delivered through multiple formats, including instructor-led training (onsite and virtual), self-paced e-learning, and blended learning experiences to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
The position will be offered as a hybrid oppertunity with the expectation of 2-3 days reporting onsite at the Lancaster site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • This is a hands-on leadership role and the candidate will need to develop and deliver courses to a wide audience comprising leaders of every level
  • Develop relationships with our senior leadership to understand the needs of the business from a training and development perspective
  • Work with leaders and cross functionally with the HR team to conduct annual Talent Reviews and succession planning activities
  • Develop and deliver and live, instructor-led training on both hard and soft skills in both virtual and classroom settings
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and/or co-facilitate training modules
  • Develop online, self-paced courses on both hard and soft skills using e-Learning authoring software and video tools
  • Support High Potential program and succession planning initiatives
  • Support EET leaders with the development of customized learning to meet the needs within their scope (may be unique to the environment testing industry)
  • Develop course material, including creating and editing videos, PowerPoint, workbooks and handouts
  • Manage selected SharePoint pages and/or sites
  • Coaching and Mentor coordination as needed
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of authoring software to include E-Learning course-building software, video editing software, animation software, learning management systems, etc.
  • Ability to Travel for hands on training is required, approximately 4-6 trips annually

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development or in a related field (or unrelated degree with a strong background in leadership training at the corporate level); MS/MA preferred

Experience:
  • Proficient in Camtasia or similar video capture/edidting software
  • LMS experience as an admin or super user
  • 5+ Years of experience in corporate training
  • 5+ years experience in content development that includes both ILT and e-learning courses
  • 3+ years experience developing courses using E-Learning software to build courses designed to be hosted on an LMS
  • Exposure to talent development initiatives a plus (e.g., succession planning, talent management, employee engagement, employee development
  • DiSC certification a bonus, but not required
  • Membership in the Association of Talent Development (ATD) or other similar organizations is a plus

Preferred Candidate Experience:
  • Ability to proactively assess organizational needs from a talent development perspective and design (or lead the development of) programs that address current and future business priorities
  • Effectively communicate and champion learning and development initiatives across all levels of the organization, including building networks beyond the immediate business line
  • Demonstrate expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design, with the ability to partner with and extract insights from subject matter experts
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, with experience delivering both virtual and in-person training using a variety of engaging instructional techniques
  • Strong proficiency in learning technologies, including e-learning authoring tools and video editing software
  • Ability to manage logistics and operations of training programs, including budget oversight, scheduling, enrollment coordination, and setup of classroom and virtual learning environments
