The Manager - Learning and Development Programs will be the strategic program owner for all of our existing programs. This role will also play a key role in developing programs that help our team members and leaders grow, perform, and build successful careers at Michels. This role will lead the strategy, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs across the organization. You'll partner with leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to turn business needs into meaningful development experiences.
This role will initially focus on taking ownership of and optimizing existing learning and development programs, ensuring they are delivered consistently, effectively, and in alignment with business needs. The Manager - Learning and Development Programs will oversee key initiatives such as leadership development, management training, and professional development programs, managing program timelines, communications, logistics, facilitator coordination, learning resources, and learning reinforcement and knowledge retention strategies. Working closely with leaders, HR, internal subject matter experts, and external partners, this individual will evaluate program effectiveness through participation, feedback, and other measures of impact, using data and insights to continuously improve the learner's experience. As Michels continues to evolve, the Manager - Learning and Development Programs will lead the design, development, and implementation of new program curricula for leadership and professional development programs that align with organizational culture, leadership expectations, and business goals. The position will also stay current on learning trends and adult learning practices, collaborate with the Learning and Development Team to determine effective delivery methods and digital solutions to maximize the programs, and support enterprise-wide talent development initiatives and special projects.

What It Takes:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related area (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience managing enterprise learning and leadership development programs, including participant selection, curriculum alignment, facilitation, leader engagement, and program measurement.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing leadership and professional development programs for team members at all levels of the organization, from emerging leaders to senior/executive leadership.
• Strong facilitation and group leadership skills, with experience delivering training, workshops, and leadership development programs to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and developing team members, setting priorities, managing performance, and driving accountability.
• Experience partnering with leaders and HR to assess development needs and implement learning solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, leadership development, and talent development practices.
• Strong relationship building, project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to facilitate learning programs, support leadership development initiatives, and partner with leaders and team members across Michels locations is required.
