Regional Insurance Sales Director

Minneapolis, Minnesota Direct Hire $140000 /

Job Description Regional Insurance Sales Director
Minneapolis–St. Paul Area | $140,000–$160,000 Base + Uncapped Incentive + Benefits

A high-growth insurance organization in the Minneapolis–St. Paul market is hiring a senior insurance wholesaling and sales leader to oversee team performance, deepen financial-advisor relationships, and support continued expansion across the business.

This is an onsite leadership opportunity designed for someone who understands life insurance distribution, advisor relationships, advanced case design, and how to coach successful sales professionals.

The organization is already experiencing significant growth, giving the incoming leader the opportunity to step into an established business with substantial momentum and meaningful long‑term earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of insurance sales professionals
  • Drive consistent pipeline, quoting, application, and placement execution
  • Coach team members on case design, advisor conversations, and account strategy
  • Lead weekly sales and activity reviews and establish clear accountability
  • Strengthen relationships with financial advisors and advisory firms
  • Expand existing accounts through increased advisor engagement and product penetration
  • Support development of new RIA and financial‑services relationships
  • Participate in advisor meetings, client meetings, conferences, and team ride‑alongs
  • Collaborate with advanced planning, marketing, and executive leadership
  • Help translate company growth strategy into measurable sales execution
Required Background
  • 5+ years of life insurance, annuity, wholesaling, or insurance-distribution experience
  • Direct experience working with financial advisors
  • Strong life insurance and case‑design knowledge
  • BGA, insurance carrier, or similar advisor‑distribution background
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, or managing sales professionals
  • Strong communication and executive presence
  • Active Series 6 and Series 63 licenses
  • Comfortable working onsite in the southwest Minneapolis–St. Paul metro
  • Approximately 25% travel
The Opportunity
  • $140K–$160K base compensation
  • Uncapped revenue‑based incentive structure
  • Ability to participate financially in overall organizational growth
  • Established business with strong existing momentum
  • Newly created leadership position
  • Significant executive exposure and influence
  • No individual case‑production requirement
  • Opportunity to build and develop an already successful team
  • Long‑term advancement as the organization continues to scale

This position is particularly well suited for a strong Regional Vice President, External Wholesaler, Brokerage Director, or senior insurance‑distribution professional who wants greater leadership responsibility without walking away from the advisor‑facing side of the business.
