Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Director will be responsible for revenue targets in defined territories through management of distribution channel. Acts as liaison between the Company and the Agents to build a high-performance and loyal distribution. Sales Director will be responsible for defining the strategy for his/her region, to develop and motivate new and existing distribution channel through call plans, seminars, webinars, local visits, etc. This position requires a high level of travel activity. Sales Director will work closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Description
  • Develop and execute market and distribution strategy for defined territory in Canada in coordination with SVP, Insurance Sales & Marketing.
  • A considerable amount of travel within Canada to perform sales and training seminars, to meet with intermediaries.
  • Identify and capture new intermediaries and sales channels to continue developing and expanding the business in Canada and other sectors.
  • Establish and manage Agent targets to meet overall sales targets.
  • Work closely with the Account Management and Operations team to ensure excellence in service and support to the agents.
  • Define incentive plan for defined region.
  • Identify new growth opportunities.
  • Responsibility for managing the travel budget.
  • Participation as commercial representative in risk committees, Claims and Underwriting Committees.
  • Responsibility for developing a profitable long-term health insurance portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience/Necessary Skills

  • 6+ years experience in international health insurance business.
  • Understanding of the insurance broker distribution channel or similar multi-level distribution channels.
  • Proven trackโ€‘record in presenting in public for small and large audiences.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex situations and transform and communicate them in a simple but professional format.
  • Deliver outstanding service to internal and external customers.
  • A high performer and a selfโ€‘directed team player who thrives in a demanding environment.
  • Positive attitude and desire to work in a high growth company environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor or medical degree preferred.
