Job description

Univista Insurance is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual Corporate Trainer with a proven background in the Property & Casualty (P&C) auto insurance industry to lead impactful training initiatives across multiple markets. This role combines instructional design, training development, facilitation, coaching, and sales enablement to support the onboarding, development, and continuous improvement of our sales professionals and staff.

The Corporate Trainer will be responsible for designing comprehensive training programs, developing engaging learning modules, delivering instructor-led and virtual training sessions, coaching new and existing employees on effective insurance sales techniques, mentoring local trainers, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate is an engaging communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, travel-intensive environment and is passionate about developing high-performing sales teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and continuously improve training programs, learning modules, instructional materials, job aids, and assessments for sales, customer service, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Create structured onboarding programs that accelerate new hire success and ensure consistent learning across all office locations.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions in both English and Spanish for new hires, existing employees, and sales professionals.
  • Coach and mentor new hires and existing sales staff on insurance products, consultative selling techniques, objection handling, customer engagement, closing strategies, and overall sales performance.
  • Conduct role-playing exercises, sales simulations, and performance coaching to reinforce learning and improve employee performance and conversion rates.
  • Assess training needs through observation, performance metrics, and employee feedback, and implement continuous improvements to training programs.
  • Support sales enablement initiatives by aligning training content with company objectives, sales goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Mentor and support regional trainers, supervisors, and office leadership to ensure consistent delivery of training programs and best practices.
  • Monitor employee performance after training and provide individualized coaching and development plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate training records, completion reports, and learning documentation.
  • Stay current on insurance products, state regulations, licensing requirements, sales methodologies, and adult learning best practices.
  • Ensure all training content and delivery comply with company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel extensively to support training initiatives across multiple office locations.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate training, instructional design, learning and development, or sales enablement within the insurance industry required.
  • Hands-on experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, with a strong understanding of personal auto insurance products, sales processes, underwriting guidelines, and insurance regulations.
  • Proven experience developing training programs, learning modules, onboarding materials, and instructional content.
  • Demonstrated success in insurance sales with the ability to coach and teach others on effective sales techniques, objection handling, customer relationship management, and closing strategies.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience mentoring employees and improving individual and team performance through coaching and feedback.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning management best practices.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual training platforms is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout assigned markets.
