About the role
Luma Financial Technologies is seeking a high-performing, strategic sales leader to drive continued growth of Luma's annuity & life insurance platform across key distribution channels. As a core revenue driver for the firm, this role will focus on expanding Luma's footprint by winning new enterprise clients.
This individual will play a central role in scaling Luma's annuity & life insurance business-partnering closely with distributors, and internal teams to accelerate platform usage, drive flows, and shape the evolution of Luma's annuity & life insurance offering.
What you'll do
Sales Leadership
  • Lead strategic sales and relationship development with annuity & life insurance distribution firms across the U.S., including Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Brokerage General Agency (BGA's).
  • Experience working with broker-dealers, banks, Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Brokerage General Agency (BGA's).
  • Serve as the primary executive interface for distributor partners-driving commercial negotiations, and onboarding.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, technology, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing client success.

Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Identify and execute on new distribution opportunities to expand Luma's annuity & life insurance platform reach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with influential industry thought leaders and partners.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and industry trends (e.g., FIA/RILA growth, product innovation, regulatory shifts) to refine Luma's positioning.

Product Strategy & Innovation
  • Act as the voice of the client-providing actionable feedback to inform product development, platform enhancements, and workflow optimization.
  • Champion Luma's commitment to transparency, efficiency, and education within the annuity / life insurance ecosystem.
  • Represent Luma at industry events, conferences, and client forums to strengthen brand presence and market credibility

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in annuity / life insurance sales, distribution, fintech platforms, or relationship management.
  • Proven track record of driving annuity flows, life insurance, and building scalable distributor relationships in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of annuity products (FIAs, RILAs, VAs, fixed), life insurance products, distribution channels, and carrier dynamics.
  • Experience working with broker-dealers, banks, and IMOs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; industry licenses (Series 6/7/63) or designations a plus.
