Job description

Fractional HR & Recruiting
BibRave Overview
BibRave is an influencer and experiential marketing agency that specializes in fitness, outdoor, and lifestyle verticals. With 10+ years' experience building and managing influencers and ambassador communities for large and small companies, BibRave brings a team of strategic social media, creative, and online community-focused experts.
BibRave also crafts bold and memorable experiences, developing creative events and in-person activations, managing ideation, project management, procurement, execution, and inter-agency coordination.
Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced HR generalist to own the full scope of people operations and recruiting for BibRave on a fractional basis. This isn't a project, it's an ongoing seat at the table. You'll manage the day-to-day of HR (benefits, compliance, employee relations, policy) while also running searches to help us bring great people onto the team. You'll report directly to our co-founders, Tim and Jess, and have real autonomy to keep things moving.
This role is a great fit for someone who's built a fractional or consulting practice and wants a steady, meaningful client relationship, not someone looking for a single project or short-term engagement.
What You'll Do
HR Operations
  • Serve as the go-to for employee relations questions and coaching for people managers
  • Own and maintain our employee handbook, including state-specific policy updates as we grow into new states
  • Support benefits administration (we run on Justworks) including open enrollment and trainings
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end to end
  • Keep us compliant: I-9s, e-verify, state-specific employment law, and general HR housekeeping
  • Support performance management processes, including check-ins, performance improvement conversations, and year-end reviews
  • Advise leadership on people decisions as they come up: organizational design, career architecture, performance management, promotions, employee relations, etc.

Recruiting
  • Run full-cycle recruiting for open roles: writing job descriptions, sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and extending offers
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role needs and build a smart, efficient interview process
  • Help build out repeatable hiring materials (interview guides, scorecards, offer templates) so hiring gets easier over time
  • Manage candidate pipelines and communications through Breezy, our applicant tracking system

What We're Looking For
Mapped to our five Core Competencies, so expectations connect directly to performance.
Ownership & Accountability
  • Obsessively organized: compliance deadlines, benefits windows, and candidate pipelines are tracked before they become urgent.
  • Spots people or compliance issues early, resolves what's yours to resolve, and escalates to Tim and Jess when it matters.

Bias for Action
  • Doesn't wait for perfect direction: takes a hiring need or employee situation, clarifies scope, and moves it forward.

Excellence in Execution
  • Sharp attention to detail across offer letters, handbook policy, and multi-state compliance.
  • Crystal-clear written communication from candidate outreach to sensitive employee relations conversations.
  • Runs full-cycle searches and HR initiatives end to end, keeping hiring managers and candidates moving in step.

Collaboration & Relationships
  • Reads a room and adjusts register on the fly, whether coaching a manager, closing a candidate, or navigating a hard conversation.
  • Stays composed under shifting hiring priorities and tight timelines.

Growth & Evolution
  • Curious about the "why" behind a policy or process, not just the checklist and willing to refine how BibRave does HR as we grow.

We require...
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally including time in a fractional, consulting, or multi-client capacity
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience - you're comfortable owning a search from JD to offer
  • Working knowledge of multi-state employment compliance (we currently have team members in several states)
  • Experience with a PEO or HRIS platform (Justworks experience a plus)
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, fast-moving small business - you don't need a lot of structure to be effective
  • A warm, direct communication style - our team is tight-knit, and we want someone who adds to that culture

Details
  • Hours: 10-20 hours/week, with some flexibility week to week based on hiring volume
  • Structure: Fractional/contract - we're open to discussing the right arrangement
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience

BibRave is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. We are committed to recruiting, hiring, training and promoting qualified people of all backgrounds, and make all employment decisions without regard to any protected status.
