The 70/30 rule in hiring suggests that recruiters should spend approximately 70% of their time sourcing and engaging candidates, and 30% on screening and interviewing. Collaboration with hiring managers and regular communication helps ensure alignment on candidate profiles and role requirements, making the process more efficient. Utilizing applicant tracking systems and setting clear daily goals can help maintain productivity and meet deadlines despite reduced hours.
