Job description

Job Title: Document Control Manager/Admin
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Freeport, TX 77541 (Onsite โ€“ Local Candidates Only)
Pay Rate: $35XX

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing and modifying technical drawings using CAD software and maintaining organized digital and physical design records. Supports plant operations by updating piping drawings and coordinating with engineering and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and update PFDs, P&IDs, ISOs, plot plans, and 3D models
  • Conduct field walkdowns (10โ€“15%) to verify as-built piping drawings
  • Maintain piping line lists and equipment tag databases
  • Revise drawings and manage document control (hard & soft copies)
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and plant teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of piping design experience (Chemical industry preferred)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Cadworx 3D
  • Knowledge of piping design standards and codes
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Associate degree in CAD preferred
