GridSource, LLC is seeking a Director of Telecom for our Managed Services division.
Position Overview
The Director of Telecom Managed Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of managed telecom services across enterprise and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) environments. This leader oversees the full service lifecycle-including installation, provisioning, maintenance, and repair-ensuring high-quality, reliable service delivery at scale. The role requires deep expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, managed services operations, and field service execution, with a strong focus on customer experience, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: - Define and execute managed services and field operations strategy aligned with company objectives. - Improve speed-to-install, first-time-right performance, and repair efficiency. Service Delivery, Installation & Repair Operations: - Lead installation, provisioning, and repair operations. - Improve install cycle time, MTTR, and reduce repeat truck rolls. Customer Experience: - Ensure seamless experience from installation through support. - Drive CSAT and NPS improvements. Field Workforce & Operational Excellence: - Lead technicians, dispatch, and field managers. - Implement training, safety, and routing optimization. Financial Management: - Own P&L and drive operational efficiency. Vendor Management: - Manage and negotiate with contractors and service partners. Technology & Innovation: - Implement workforce tools, automation, and remote diagnostics.
Team Leadership: - Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
Qualifications
Required: - Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred). - 10+ years telecom experience, 5+ in leadership. - Experience managing installation, repair, and field operations. - Strong telecom infrastructure knowledge. Preferred: - MDU or fiber experience. - ITIL, PMP, or telecom certifications.
