Broadband Project Manager

Position Summary

The Broadband Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of broadband infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages schedules and budgets, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure successful deployment of fiber and broadband network solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple broadband and fiber deployment projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate permitting, easements, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Oversee design, construction, and implementation phases of broadband network projects
  • Track project progress, risks, and issues; implement mitigation strategies as needed
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and client communications
  • Ensure documentation, records, and closeout packages are complete and accurate
  • Support procurement and contractor management activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing broadband, fiber, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience with outside plant (OSP) design and construction processes
  • Strong project scheduling and budgeting skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with rural broadband or grant-funded deployment programs (e.g., BEAD, RDOF)
  • Knowledge of fiber network architecture (FTTH, middle mile, backhaul)
  • Familiarity with permitting and right-of-way processes
