Position Overview:
The OSP Project Manager is responsible for executing assigned OSP fiber network design projects across multiple markets. As the design lead, you will direct OSP Engineers and CAD/GIS technicians to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget to the required project standards. This design team will work on FTTH projects, completing detailed high-level and low-level designs, field verification/staking, submitting jurisdiction for ROW permits, and incorporating field construction redlines into final as-built plans. The OSP Design Manager provides the required status updates to the Project Manager and ensures each design phase of work is delivered according to the project schedule. This role requires an individual with strong leadership, facilitation, management, and client relationship skills. This position will be a partner across the JSI organization and the client's organization to plan and execute project delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and drive the delivery of the overall OSP FTTH design project.
  • Monitor design progress, oversee design scheduling, and track design status to schedule.
  • Will interface with the client's design team. Build strong working relationships by providing regular status updates to the JSI Project Manager and facilitating design alignment meetings.
  • Coordinate closely with the field construction team to ensure design plans are understood and followed.
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to report on progress and manage risks.
  • This position is integral to our vision, strategy, and overall growth plans and requires strong leadership, people skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or professional engineer certification is preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing complex OSP FTTH design projects.
  • A high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong sense of urgency. Agile in fast-paced environments, multi-tasking, and project reprioritization.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as listening and interpretation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and other GIS platforms.
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
